Parent Volunteer
Parent or community helpers can be a great asset to a teacher and her classroom by taking away some of the burden of the busy work that needs to be done. In order to fully utilize the helpers when they come in to assist, it is important to have specific jobs or tasks already prepared. If you would like to come in to volunteer, we ask that you notify your child's teacher first. Not only does pre-planning help alleviate some of the stress for the teacher, but it also alleviates any anxiety that helpers may have about being in the classroom.

Chief Academic/Learning Officer's Message

Dear Parents,

Welcome back to another exciting school year!  We are pleased to have so many new scholars who are ready for a rigorous education.  As you may know the Governance Board along with our CEO and myself made a bold commitment to teaching and learning by reducing our class sizes to ensure that our scholars could experience an unprecedented level of engagement.  This required a hard look at our budget and many sacrifices among our faculty/staff.  As a result of this, we will be calling on our parents and stakeholders for various donations throughout the year.  Because of your unwavering commitment to our scholars, we have no doubt that we can count on our parents!

Students in grades 3 thru 7, will be receiving a copy of their Georgia Milestones Assessment Report.  I am very proud to share that LPA outperformed the state and the district in almost every area of the test.  Our data is displayed on the website and at each entry point of the school.

In order for us to ensure a safe environment for all of our scholars, it is essential that you review the Code of Conduct with your leader.

The PTO is a critical partner in the success of our school.  If you have not already join, I strongly encourage you to send your $10.00 by cash, check or money order so that you can be counted as an engaged parent!

The Leadership Preparatory Academy’s website is the official hub of communication for all events.  Please become familiar with our website and visit often.  I am excited about another year of academic excellence at LPA and with your support, we will continue to fulfill the mission of this great institution!

Dr. Tonya M. Williams, Chief Learning Officer and Chief Academic Officer
